Why join early

5 spots for companies that want to roll out DPP ahead of the market

This is a limited program for companies that want to co-shape OriginPass and get to practical rollout faster. Together we refine the features that will meaningfully reduce your team's workload during the ESPR season.

6 months at no cost

Full platform access during the pilot period. No hidden caps, no setup fee, no card required upfront.

Influence on the product backlog

Your feedback goes directly into the product backlog and gets priority when planning the first release.

First access to new modules

Companies in the program test new features before launch. The most important needs go directly into the first-release roadmap.

Flexible way of working

We don't dictate how we collaborate. We can work through the backlog, email or calls, and together we set a rhythm that works for you.

In return we ask for honest feedback and a short letter of intent — a non-binding statement that you are planning a DPP rollout and will consider moving to a paid plan after the pilot.

What we're building

Everything you need to roll out a DPP under ESPR

One system for everything: generating codes, hosting passports, and understanding who scans your products and where.

QR code & product identifier generator

Automatic generation of codes for labels, packaging and digital touchpoints, based on GS1 Digital Link or a temporary internal identifier if you don't have a GTIN yet. Supports Model, Batch and Item levels.

Consumer Passport View

Responsive passport pages shown to consumers when they scan the QR code. With your branding, colors and logo, and on higher plans a branded domain as well.

Persistent links and scan reports

The routing layer connects each QR code to the current passport and records only minimal scan data: country, device type and timestamp, without IP addresses or user identifiers. Starter includes basic summaries, while geo maps and longer retention start on Growth.

Product Data Management

Flexible industry templates. Textiles, batteries, electronics and furniture each have a dedicated field set. Add a new category without rebuilding your product data.

Passport change history

Every change is recorded with a timestamp and author. Reconstruct how the passport looked on any past date in one click, ready for inspections and export to regulatory authorities.

One passport, 24 EU languages. No surcharges.

Publish a consumer-ready passport in all 24 EU languages. OriginPass combines maintained regulatory terminology with AI-assisted translation of narrative product content, generated on demand and traceable to the source. You retain full control of the source text and every manual correction.

Industries

Who does DPP affect, and when?

ESPR and standalone sector regulations phase in DPP obligations by product group. Here are the key industries with the nearest confirmed or expected deadlines.

Batteries (EV, LMT, industrial)

Mandatory DPP from 18.02.2027

The Battery Regulation requires passports for EV, light means of transport and industrial batteries >2 kWh. This is confirmed law.

Detergents and surfactants

Mandatory DPP from 23.09.2029

Regulation 2026/405 requires DPPs for all detergents, including industrial and professional detergents, and for end-user surfactants from 23 September 2029.

See the detergent DPP page

Toys

Mandatory DPP from 01 Aug 2030

Regulation 2025/2509 introduces a digital product passport for toys. Manufacturers should prepare material, safety and batch-identification data.

See the toy DPP page

Tyres

Expected window: 2027-2029

Tyres are named in the first ESPR Working Plan 2025-2030. The delegated act is indicatively expected around 2027, with application around 2029. Getting tyre label and EPREL data in order now gives you a head start.

See the tyre DPP page

Textiles and footwear

Expected window: 2027-2029

The Commission's Working Plan 2025-2030 foresees delegated acts for textiles. The fashion industry should start preparing now.

Electronics and appliances

Expected window: 2028-2030

Right to Repair and information requirements are driving DPP for electronics. Think parts catalogs, repair instructions and a digital twin of the product.

Steel, aluminum and metals (CBAM)

Expected window: 2028-2030

CBAM already requires emissions data for covered imports, while ESPR treats iron, steel and aluminum as priority areas for future product-data requirements.

Sample passport

This is not a marketing mockup: the toy and detergent passports run on OriginPass production infrastructure, with data in 24 EU languages. Scan the code with your phone or open the preview.

The tyre field set will only be fixed by the ESPR delegated act, so this is an explicit preview, not a published passport.

How it works

From registration to print in 3 steps

No quarter-long implementations. No integrators. Start right away.

01

Add product data

Enter specifications manually or import a CSV. The system automatically generates a GS1 Digital Link identifier (or a temporary internal ID).

02

Download QR codes

Get QR codes in PNG, SVG and PDF formats. Use them on labels, packaging or digital materials; they work the moment they're scanned.

03

Analyze and manage

Monitor aggregated scans and basic geographic reports. On higher plans, heatmaps and longer retention help you spot unusual traffic, such as scans from markets where you don't sell yet.

Rollout model

Choose the setup that fits your stage

You can start on the shared OriginPass domain, move to a branded domain managed by OriginPass, and adopt a more advanced setup only when IT, procurement or governance requires it.

Shared domain

Fastest way to go live

For teams that want to launch DPP quickly without bringing IT into the project on day one.

simplest onboarding and fastest time-to-value
routing and hosting handled by OriginPass
good fit for early rollouts, testing and smaller teams
Branded domain

Your brand, the same link layer

For companies that want to print their own domain while keeping routing and QR-code logic managed by OriginPass.

for example dpp.yourbrand.com instead of a shared domain
OriginPass still handles routing, basic reports and QR-code logic
the recommended premium model for growing teams
Advanced requirements

Setup for more complex cases

For companies with higher security, domain, integration or procurement requirements.

custom domain / CNAME and an agreed infrastructure model
integrations, governance and more advanced workflows
deployment scope and architecture aligned during the sales process
We help you choose the right rollout model for your DPP scale, team structure and technical requirements, without adding unnecessary complexity on day one.
